What Type of Airgunner are you?
"1) PETA types - are shooters that believe that no gun should ever be used to kill anything. They see guns as instruments to be used solely for target shooting or plinking if at all. They deplore the concept of shooting at live birds or animals for any reason or at any time.
2) Competitive shooters - are shooters whose main interest in shooting is to compete against other shooters for a trophy, award or just good fun. They take their equipment and shooting technique very seriously and practice long hours to hone their competitive skills.
3) Johnny Average Shooter - These are shooters that use an air rifle for multiple tasks. They do some general plinking, some target shooting, up to and including a bit of light field target shooting with their friends. On occasion they also find it necessary to rid their property of a pest or two. To these shooters, an airgun is a multi-use instrument.
4) Pest Control shooters - these shooters seldom do target shooting or competitive shooting. The main use for their airgun is to rid their property of pest birds or animals. They are always on the look-out for intruders on their turf.
5) Hunters - Hunters are not the same as pest control shooters. Hunters refer to people that purchase licenses to pursue animals or birds during specified legal seasons. They take their guns out into the fields or woods pursuing their quarry. Some feel that hunting and pest control are the same thing. To me, they are not even close to being the same. Not meant as a judgement, just totally different purposes in my book."

If this was September I would have said Hunter, since I'm looking forward to grouse and rabbit hunting with my pistol this fall, but right now any shooting is better than no shooting so I guess I'm a "Johnny"
I can't use my airgun for pest control since I live in a city.
As a kid in the 70's we used to walk down the main street of our town shooting starlings out of the neighbour's trees.
I'm guessing that wouldn't go over well these days.
