hey everyone,
i know about alot of mods that can be done to 22xx and eventually will do them when i get he time to. but recently i saw "hammer shimming" being mentioned in a coulple of threads. could anyone explain what this mod consists of?
does it have anything to do with:
hammer spring (new spring / adjusting old one)
reworking the actual hammer (making some points smaller maybe)
adding weight to the hammer?
thanks,

to get more pow , you can add a thick washer or 2 behind the spring or add a heavier spring . shimming can cause waste of gas ,id add weight to the hammer and use a spring that is just the right length and a bit stronger. puting a piece of rod or a 3/16''bolt in front of the spring in the hammer can add alot more power then shimming behind the spring.
