Hi, I'm new to all of this. I'm in Canada...
I have questions for you experts on my new Crosman 1008.
1. Where can i buy lead-free pellets made for distance and pentration (pointed).
2. Can I use those felt pellets that clean/lubricate my barrel? Do they work well?
3. What brands of products can i use with my gun? Obviously the manufacturer told me to only use Crosman pellets and C02 - but if Walmart has something similar in size (etc.) I'll try it since I don't know of any dealers in my area.
4. What grain pellet works good in my gun?

1 - Lead-free pellets are quite expensive and not worth the price, IMHO. Lead pellets are safe to shoot as long as you wash your hands afterwards. I have been shooting lead pellets quite a bit over the last 15 years. My last blood test indicated .13 units (emol?) and a safe normal level was under 1.0 units.
2 - The felts are okay but not really worth the effort. Use a piece of fishing line and pull a few patches through your barrel. Wet the patches with Simple Green or GooGone. Then pull some dry patches, followed by one patch moistened with protective oil.
3 - My Cr1008 was fine with the cheapo Crosman wadcutters. At 10 metres it would group 8 pellets slightly over an inch. My web site has the review http://my.tbaytel.net/coopers
4 - The Crosman WCs are said to be 7.9gr. Whatever is accurate is best. Some shooters look for the cheapest pellet possible and give up some accuracy. The choice is yours. The Crosman pellets are fine for that pistol.
