a 12 " barrel? why not go to crosman canada and order the steel breech, a 2289 barrel for 14 dollars.

or get a metal breech from crookedbarn

for grips you talk to kevin at K&S (airsmith)

and for muzzlebrake talk to metalmuncher here.

and make it bulk paiontball bottle compatible

check this out:
http://www.airgunforum.ca/forum/viewtoph.470-s0.html

Info from Plink-Panther, there is a good deal from CR Steel Breech package for $ 36 CAD part # 2240SBPK, it's the best price around.

or www.crookedbarn.com

The next longer barrel you will find is 14.5" to be exact but you can always cut it back to 12" and re-crown it.

Go with the Crosman 2250 upgrade kit from John at D&L Airguns and do the transfer port, valve mods, don't forget the 2289 hammer spring, I converted to bulk as you can shoot all weeknd for 2 bucks! Email at rthub@shaw.ca if you want pics of my killer 2240 Carbine conversion.

What's the longest barrel you can get for the 2240?

I've got a crazy idea to make a custom wooden stock and forend to make one into a mini Dragunov SVD look-alike.

you can put a 24 inch barrel on a 2240 and run over 700 fps with the right mods to it.

Yeah, it's an awesome link, and I will definitely do some of the mods that are in there. I was wondering though, and excuse me if I am asking a question that has already been asked before, but where does one order parts in Canada for Crosman?

I went on the Crosman Canada site and it's just a page with an address and phone number, do I contact them directly to order my parts or do I have to contact a dealer? I am located in Montreal...

I'm thinking of doing some basic mods to my 2240.

But most importantly, I find that the 2240 is too loud for my taste, are there any type of silencers available?

Hello there & welcome to the group. You can buy the parts directly from Crosman Depot in Peterborough or from D&L Airgun in BC. There should be parts numbers listed here somewhere on the forum. Also, you can find many Crosman schematics here:

http://www.crosman.com/site/pistols_man

http://www.crosman.com/site/rifles_man

We don't discuss silencers or moderators here please....

Cool! I see you got HPA! I was thinking of doing the exact same mod.
Want to elaborate on that particular mod? :)

hpa

hpa is very simple to run and lets you play all winter. I bought a cooper-t fake co2 then just buy a remote line then a asa adaptor and a hpa tank and your good to go. You will get a crazy amount of shots out of a 48 cubic inch tank and you can buy a paintball belt to hold it for ya. remember boys and girls paintball shops are our friends, they have many many awesome things that will work on our guns. you can even fit some electronic triggers on a 22xx gripframe :)
