FInest-for the cash singleShot pneumatic ever?

#1 Post by IanC »

Personally out of all the guns ive ever shot this is the best for me Especially with a Bushnell scope.
Accurate as a match pistol with a sporter frame, no Co2, consistant shots and all for -$200
Is there really a need for anything else?

Oh yeah, definitely. The HW40 is just one sweet gun!
Everyone who has one just loves it.

It is definately a sweet gun to be sure. But as for a better gun, hmm, maybe the hw45 shall we say.

Yes the HW45 is the POWER version of the HW40. But they're still 2 different guns. The HW45 is a springer for instance, and its trigger is nice, but I personally like the P3 trigger better.

Also, you gotta love the recoilless action of the P3.

It would be perfect to own both ;)

In an average 7 grains pellet (RWS Hobby) is 424 fps.

When you choose the HW40, what made you choose it over the Beeman P3, or the much less expensive Marksman 2004?

P3 = HW40, so there is absolutely no difference... Except the name that's printed on the side of the gun...

The Marksman 2004 is a very sweet gun. It feels pretty much the same as the P3/HW40... The only problem is that some Marksmans have quality control problems...

Hi Jan,

The Weihrauch HW40 is what Beeman calls the P3. Weihrauch makes these pistols for Beeman, but they also sell them with their own company name printed.
The Weihrauch HW45 is what Beeman calls the P1. Manufactured in the same German plant.
The Weihrauch HW75 is what Beeman calls the P2. Beeman no longer imports this model but it's still available as a Weihrauch label.

Weihrauch makes many of Beeman's airguns. Beeman is an importer. Even their catalogues are made outside the USA. Beeman catalogue #22 (1999) was printed in Canada.

Hw40

I bought the HW40 about 5 years ago before the marksman even came on the market. I actually had the hw45 at the same time and sold it. Good but im just not a fan of springer pistols.

I find its favorite food to be hobbys. 424 consistent and accurate enough for light hunting but not much.
