logun pumps ?

#1 Post by jezX »

just asking if anyone has one of these .how long have you had it ? is it worth buying ? will it reach 3000psi ?. straight shooters have them for $179 . this seems pretty good for a pump if it works well . hills is supposed to be a better pump but its also $70 more ,$70 buck really is a big defference for the same basic pump.
i think i will buy one anyway but real experince is worth hearing . which ever one i get i'll write back on what i think .

I think the Logun pump is the FX pump re-branded.
My FX pump will reach 3000psi and it is very well made. I have it for over 6 month and have no problems so far.

Well I placed the order last night with D&L for Hill pump. Actually the reason I choose the Hill pump because our friends in U.K, all recommended strongly with Hill pump. Then I found out that the Hill pump has two stages or something ..... meaning the stroke on the hand is always constant regardless at what pressure your HPA tank at, unlike some other one I heard as the pressure goes up in the tank, it gets harder to pump. I'm not totally 100% sure .......

All modern HPA pumps are dual stage. This is the only way to get high volume and high pressure. The first stage have a large displacement to 'concentrate' the air. Than the second stage with small displacement takes over to further compress the air to high pressure with less effort.
Even with a dual stage pump, effort in compressing the air will increase as the pressure builds.

Both the Hill and FX are high quality dual stage pumps that will serve you well. It comes down to how much humidity you have in you area. The Hill pump will remove more moisture from the air. However, it does require more maintenance in replacing the Dry-Pac filter media. The FX has a water trap, no filter media to replace, but it is less efficient at removing the moisture.

If you have high humidity in you area, get the Hill pump with Dry-Pac; otherwise the FX will do just fine.
