Pellet advise for QB78

#1 Post by bobv »

Started to shoot my QB78 this weekend , put a Crosman 4x32 scope on it also. Do any paticular pellets shoot better in this rifle :?: Now I only have Crosman Premium grade Wadcutters and it's not impressive..so far.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks
Bob

Something that is not too expensive and good RWS Hobby 11.9gr., Xisico 13.9 gr. one of the longest .22 in length very good accuracy and clean, RWS Meisterkugeln .22 - 14gr.

Hi Snowman996,

As Todd mention you can get them from Sunny. I got 8000 + left, always good to keep them instock and I usually get more when ever I get a chance.

Thank's for the pic and infos, I got a tin of Diabolo Exact along with my Muzzlebrake today from D&L. Do you have to reajust your scope when you change type and weight of pellets, I was wondering if I should stick with one particular model of pellets to get full accuracy

Well, I guess depends on the distance you're shooting at. Certain trajectory set-up with the scope usually cover certain range of distance. Also the closer mount of the scope (lower) to the barrel will cover more distance. So you can try a bunch of pellets and yes, stick with a couple models to get consistant accuracy at certain distance.
About The scope, the answear is NO, I never change the set-up on my scope and I use it from 10 yards upto 25 yards with 11.9gr. up to 14.3.
The mildot scope has more advantage when changing type of shooting distance or all different type of pellets.

Thanks for the info, will be going to Quebec City Friday ,will check a couple of sporting goods stores and see what I might turn up ...if I don't find anything I guess I'll just have to order out.

none yet, I've been debating on it since last year but I haven't shoot anything more than 30 yards with the airgun.
