Wrong Way wrote:Time bandit~ EXACTLY! Thats the way a business should run. I even explained that I was in a big hurry for the spring and even offered to pay for the backordered part for them to ship later, but was told no, there would be a seperate charge. It was the attitude more than anything. Speaking of which......

Voltar:With a comment such as that, it is obvious that you are not the same level of consumer as some on this board. You have apparently become used to the wal-mart level of service (or lack thereof) that seems to have become the norm in todays retail environment. Should you elevate yourself to the level of consumer that some of us are, you begin to expect more in exchange for the sizeable sums of money you choose to part with. But alas, for those whose biggest purchase decisions consist of "you want fries with that?" I can't really expect understanding or sympathy. There are several success stories in the Canadian market (ie: Lee Vally Tools, Princess Auto, etc.) that have become the business they are by observing one simle rule. Take care of the customer.

Sad.
WOW, you are the consumate consumer eh?!
You are correct I aam not in your league I bow to you. Holy crap .99 spring gonna bust poor Crosman. You will ruin it for all of us that follow behind you. With Crosman out of business where will I go for that .99 spring when I can't make it.
BTW try and get the service you demand from Lee Valley or Princess Auto.
Won't happen. You will pay the shipping.
Sorry to stir this up. I guess we are not the same, I'm ok wiith that

Hmmm.........I just got a cheque and a nice letter frome lee valley. Apparently, the price has dropped recently for an item I bought two months ago, and they sent me a cheque for the difference, tax, and shipping! I repeat, I bought this stuff two months ago! They didn't have to do this, and in fact I can't think of anyone else who would! The cheque was for a whopping 11 bucks.....but it's the act that speaks volumes. THIS is the kind of service that keeps them going stroong, and THIS is why I don't have any issues with the amount of my hard-earned dollars that I send their way.

And as far as Princess Auto goes; I DID buy a bunch of hydraulic parts from them about 3 weeks ago, and one of the pump assemblies I needed was not in stock. I paid for it and it showed up at my house by courier 4 days later. No charge for shipping.

Find me ONE person who has a complaint about the corprate customer service of either of those companies, and I will be humbled. But in the future, I would suggest you should check your facts before spewing the kind of garbage you posted above.

Wrong Way ...... is RIGHT..... agree 110%.

I heard all kinds of good thing about Lee Valley as some of friends here in this forum also shop there. I'm still putting my list together what to get from there.
Princess Auto has excellent customer service there, I shop there all the time. At one time my old 2800 psi pressure washer pump broke down because I forgot to do maintenance for winter. I thought I was going to buy the replacement pump since it was on sale at Princess Auto ($250.00) and for the hell of it I mentioned it to the Customer Service dept. and told me that they're willing to do trade ins, so I was so glad about that. When I brought it in the tech. there replaced it for me and he said NO CHARGE since the pressure washer had PrincessAuto sticker on it. This is something you don't see everyday ......
