Umarex Desert Eagle Co2 .177 Blow-back Pistol

#1 Post by wllm995 »

I've been to the website, but they really don't give you a lot of info on this brand new air gun. In particular, anyone heard what the fps is going to be? Looks interesting, because I believe it will be using the same 8 pellet rotary clip as the CP99 series...

According to the owner's manual...up to 120m/s

Click on the icons under the pic of the pistol for the manual, flyer, etc.

hi all, i was just at the umarex website trying their interactive manual.
great looking gun. Iwonder how strong the blowback is and how much co2 it takes away from firing pellets.

The Co2 capsule replacement they are using is new i think.

It looks easy but the screw on part (with key) also makes it easer to drop and lose imo. I was hoping from their animation that we could just pop in the co2 capsule, slide the bottom piece of the mag on, and shoot.

this pic from umarex just became my next desktop wallpaper

Sniper, the PPK is a true blow-back single action. Some of the CO2 use to fire the BB is redirected to push back the slide, which push back and cock the hammer. The trigger of the PPK is nice and light, maybe a bit too light. The PPK is pretty frugal with CO2, I can get about 70 to 80 shots with one Powerlet.
Even the little PPK has a fair bit of kick with its blow-back action.

Well there you go I just learn something new, I thought the PPK is just like the Gamo V3 (fake blowback) and hard trigger. So PPK is semi-auto, single action with blowback ..... that is cool.
Thx. for the info.

so Desert Eagle does 393.72 fps.

No blow-back? :P
If the blow-back jams or CO2 is low, you can manually cock the hammer. The trigger can only release the hammer. It can not cock the hammer.

The little PPK only averages about 250fps but it's a blast to shoot.

Todd
Hi Todd, did you ever try it at 10 yards ?
I see that the accuracy is not that good. If the crosman battery operated target is used at 10 yards, it would be hard to hit since the biggest circle is only 2.5".
