Ruko is an importer, just like Beeman. Try to find out who made the airgun. Ruko imported Gamo for a while but also Diana and maybe other makes.

Does your airgun state 'Made in xxxx"? Can you post a pic?

I was looking over at www.dlairgun.com and saw Norica,in the manufacturers section., they have a model that looks very much like Ruko, it called Carabina 56 , it's in spanish only? maybe this will help.

I have a 1985 Ruko pamphlet that I picked up when shopping for airguns that year. In 1985 Ruko imported 7 different air pistols and 16 air rifles (according to the pamphlet). Some of the products were Diana and some Gamo and some maybe Norica and a Baikal.

The Ruko Scout 56 appears to be the Norica Carbina 56. Suggested retail price was $69.95 in 1985.

Some of the other Ruko imports in the 1985 pamphlet were:

Diana 34 Hunter
Diana 35 Deluxe
Diana 45 Deluxe
Diana 60 Target
Diana 75HV Match
Diana LP5G Target pistol
Diana LP5G Target pistol with scope&muzzle brake
Diana LP6M Match pistol
Diana LP10 Competition pistol
Ruko T1830 (looks Chinese or Russian)
IJ38 Baikal (Russian)
Model 73 Target
Scout 56
Expomatic 107
Commando 61 (same as Expomatic but single shot)
Gamatic 106
Gamo 68 (same as Gamatic but single shot)
Magnum 80
Magnum 127
Magum 128
Falcon 121 pistol
Center 120 pistol
Panther model 90

Length between sights = 385mm
Overall length = 954mm

Norica Cub 56

#10 Post by RossB »

Your Scout is probably the Norica 56, called the Cub 56 in the UK.
Very popular entry level air rifle throughout Europe on both sides of the former iron curtain.
Velocity with the standard spring (Standardfedern) would be 540 - 590 fps in .177, depending upon the market.
The 56 shares similar internals to the Norica Kronos 74.
With the export spring (Exportfedern - 31 coils of .118" wire, .550" ID) the gun will smoothly produce about 700 fps in .177.
Heavier (.128" wire) mainsprings can be fitted but the firing can get harsh.

D&L sells Norica. Maybe ask them about spring replacements.
