Make double, double sure there is no CO2 pressure in the air tube. Try dry firing.
Otherwise, time to bring out a pair of pliers. Do it slow, just to loosen it. It should than turn easy with fingers, if there is no pressure. Unless you cross threaded it. #-o

That is strange for bad co2's. Once happened to me on 2240, it was a bad co2, there was nothing in it.

yikes...you're buggered. It sounds like to me that the co2 has locked the cap on and the gun is malfunctioning...a sort of catch-22. Get some large vice grips or channel-locks and take the cap off slowly...you may carve up the cap and ruin the seal but what other choice do you have? You have to dump the co2 in order to fix the gun.

Well, get the CO2 out as ETA had mentioned. Sounds like something is jamming the valve perhaps.
Pry co2 cap open slowly, upto certain turns you will see the co2 come out from the tiny release hole.

Would you like me to delete this thread or perhaps you would like to share this life experience with the airgunning community?

That's one thing I don't have to worry with all my QB's, I took all manual safety out completely. They're always ready for actions ......

Ya...me too...the safety on the QB is a POS. Took it out and filled up the hole.
