I recently got into this this hobby (bought myself a Slavia 631) and am wondering where there is to shoot in or closeby North Vancouver besides one's home. I share an apartment with my dad and can get a 5.5m range going but I'd like to be able to shoot 10m at least.
I checked the bylaws here and found that Bylaw No. 6761 prohibits shooting firearms, bows, and airguns anywhere in the district ; so that counts out any spot easily viewable to the public.
You could try Pacific Shooters Association (PSA). The range is located on Lilooet Road in the Lynn Canyon Park - a couple of kilometers past the North Vancouver Cemetery, right beside the Boy Scout camp. They have ranges from 10 m to 50 m (maybe even to 100 m, I can't remember). They shoot smallbore (cartridge) and air rifle, also pistol (air and cartridge).

I had a look at PSA and it seems like my best option. I had a chat with one of the gentlemen who deals with membership applications and he said that members had to have a PAL but he could probably work something out for us. I'm waiting for him to call back.
