A short while ago CTC had a sale on "wooden stocked" rifles. Now a sale on all Crosman rifles. I wonder if the pistols will go on sale next?

Now I'm debating if I should get the 2289 since it's the cheapest ever but I hate pumping every shot. I've been debating on 2289 almost for 2 years now..... hmmmm.... may be it's a sign that I shouldn't have it ....

Hi Sniper,

Hmmm... maybe the sale is a sign that you should have the 2289. LOL :D The price is very good. Smaller dealers pay about $90 for a cost price on this carbine.

RIFLE = Cr2289 + Cr metal breech + optics + 20" barrel

OR

PISTOL = Cr2289 + Cr metal breech + red dot + 11" barrel (no butt stock)

hmmmmm..... now you got me thinking..... would I be able to attach HPA bottle with 2289, perhaps like connect a hose directly to the valve body, that would be fun project. May be I can use it as spare parts ....LOL....
It just sounds like a nightmare pumping 8x every shot, I wouldn't mind pumping 100x first then just shoots.

noooooooooo

i bought a 2289 for 99.99 in lebaron 3 weeks ago... i lost 5 dollars !!! lol

sniper, you can make a 2289 into a very fun gun. take mine for example - over 500fps with only 5 pumps in .177. and thats without a steel breech breech, bigger transfer port, stronger hammer spring

by the way, is getting a stronger happer spring on a backpacker going to increase its power?

or you could make a pistol - 10.5" barrel i think (so its flush with the barrel band) and get some nice wooden grips. some examples:

Alright, I found some $ 15 bucks of CT money .... so I just have to go get it, still hate the thought of pumping the gun ..... came back with it and I was shooting at 20 yards ofcourse it's pretty lousy, I guess I got to plug the exhaust hole as some mentioned here .... I took some shots with it and still hate pumping it ..... DOH!. Now I got to do more work for this weekend.
