Hi all, Just thought I should post on here as I'm a new member. I'm from a village on the coast of Norfolk in England. I've been shooting airguns for years, well since the 1960's anyway. In those days there was not much variety or knowledge available unlike today!
I did 10 metre target air rifle shooting for years but things really started to move on in the mid 1980's when I was into Running boar shooting. As an Olympic squad shooter I trained at Fort Benning and the USOTC in Colorado Springs. At the time there were three Canadian shooters with us, can't remember names but think one was a bald guy named Dave and he shot very well at the '84 Olympics coming about 6th. Also was a chap from Vancouver who gave me honorary membership of his Hunting club and a younger guy. I purchased a twin post scope off one of them and they were really helpful and laid back. Did a bit of field target, in fact was at the first ever shoot held in England at Bisley in about 1980 but mainly hunt pigeons and rabbits now.
The airgun scene in Canada seems different with not so much variety as we have here. We have the choice of probably 40 pre charged guns and loads of quality springers. Unfortunately firearms are being restricted and centre fire pistol shooting is non existent but I guess that is why our airgun scene is thriving.

She was only an admiral's daughter but her naval base was full of discharged seamen.
