homemade russian PCP (alot of images)

hey guys,

was reading some posts on russian sites, and found this:

homemade PCP. .177cal (.22 airguns have to be registered) that shoots at 200m/s (656fps) with gamo match pellets and 220m/s (721fps) with shotgun lead shot of right size and has a 32BB clip or 8pelet clip.

i am not sure if he made the internals completely himself though - looks like the internals of a co2 pistol... here is the link. have fun reading russian, and for those who cant, i will link all the pictures here.

do you think he used some pistols internals?

you can see them in one of the last pictures.

Wow thatÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s cool. IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢m getting inspired here I like the Austrian SMG look for sure.

DoesnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t seem too hard to make, maybe I should get a cheep CO2 pistol piece of wood and make something of it

The base pistol looks a bit like a Baikal MP-651K

The base is mp-651kc pistol. Barrel from izh-60 air rifle (baical too). Works on C02. 280 shoots from one charge.

wow I think it uses a metal bar to link the triggers(on pic 6), nice gun.

He call it "shark". Now thinks about using air (last pict. with bigger cylinder for air). Made it for hunting crows.

The Standard rifle has a calibre 4,5 mms (.177). Looks like you zero in by using the jubilee clip, nice machining on the dovetail rail though.

Trigger

The mushroom head screws are definately not the right way to hold the end plugs in- shear is across the thread the weak spot! Counterbore cap head screws into the end plug so that the shear is across the head. Also screws to close to end of tube, breakaway. I take it has been pressure tested to at least 1 1/2 times the max working pressure.

Respectable inletting as well, better than most airgun stock makers.
