#1 Post by DoctorFrankengun »

Can anyone tell me what the size and pitch is on the little screw that holds down the front of the breach on the Crosman 13XX guns?

Kevin, I am planning to make a metal breach for the project gun that I got from Aaron. I will need a screw that is a bit longer than the original.

It is indeed a #4-48.
Not a M3.

Not worth messing with other screws. Best to get it directly from Crosman. Get a whole bunch, since they are cheap. The head have be the right hight, width and shape to not interfere with the pellet feed.
Hex head is also the way to go. No over torquing and striping the tiny thread hole on the air tube.

My bad. Went and took a mesurement, yes it is a 4-48.

Well, I've succesfully used M3, then put back the original one.
Both fit. Most probably the difference is less than tapping precision.
