CH 2000

#1 Post by bobv »

Was watching my friend shoot his Crosman CH2000 ( the one I found at CTC for $199) this morning and I noticed that when he put in a new Co2 powerlet and shot , we could see a puff of Co2 come out of the barrel . This continued for a while, then went away. Is this normal??? We were shooting indoor of course.
BTW that CH2000 really shoots great

That should be ok, it's puffing more co2 than it needs too, could be because the hammer spring is still new and got alot of punch to it or the valve spring doesn't push back fast enough, vice versa ...
unless if it keeps puffing and doesn't stop then it's the valve problem ....

That is perfectly normal and very common (and not just with new guns). When the CO2 is new there's always more power at the begining because more CO2 is used, you don't see it latter as the pressure in the powerlet lowers thus less CO2 comes out...

It is common with some Crosman guns that have the Powerlets sitting horizontal. When fresh and full, some liquid CO2 will get into the valve. This is why sometimes you get crazy velocity on the first few shots.
