My new omega compressor

#1 Post by Cougar »

Received my omega a few weeks ago and so far I'm happy with what I see. I filled a 90cu 4500 psi tank from empty to 42oo psi in 36 minutes and have since topped it up three times from about 2700 back to 4200 in 12 minutes each time. Very impressed. Will post a picture if I can figure it out. Now when my new Hatsan gets here I'll be all smiles I'm sure.

The compressor came from air gun source and taxes in plus shipping it cost me 3500.00 to my door. Hope this is helpful.

Expensive yes but so are most of the better PCP's.
A Hatsan sb65 delivered is 750.00 and that's a cheap gun compared to what is available out there.

With $3500.00  I could buy the most expensive Daystate with top of the line scope and still have money left over.

So that makes this compressor so over the top expensive that I can't believe any one would buy one.
But that’s just me.

A daystate wolverine at air gun source is 2400 and a top of the line Hawke scope is 405 before taxes and it takes lots of air so you need an air source. Between myself and my brother in law we have 4 PCP's and we go through lots of air.

so for me and my arthritis I think it was a good investment.

If are and avid pcp shooter you have the funds I totally think it's worth it. I'd rather not have to run back and forth from the scuba shop to get a fill.

I can see if I had more than one shooting friend in same area as myself and split the cost maybe then.
However I have a friend that works in a shop that can fill my tank to 4100 psi only 20k away in about 5 minutes max
And most of the time doesn't charge me. 8)
I guess I am very lucky
I( have a s510 AA that likes air LOL
But I still would like my own but not for that cost.

you're driving 240 kph to get to his house?

For the price I can see most opting out of their own HPA compressor regardless of the of their own personal wealth. I'm so lazy and anti social that I would and will pay the premium. Good for my pcp and paintball tanks. Ofcourse I won't tell the wife how much it costs.

Sorry for the thread hijack to do the math

You originally stated 20km in 5mins max.

There are twelve 5mins intervals in an hour therefore you times 20km by 12 which yields 240km/hour
