Hawke or MTC?

I've become suspicious of the turret reliability on my <$200 scopes. First of all it can take 2 or more shots for the POI to change after a small adjustment. Then often it will change a little on it's own and stay at a new POI for say 5 shots and then move again. It's not a lot but enough to tick me off.
I've been looking at these two scopes the MTC Viper Pro 3-18x50 and the Hawke Airmax 30 SF 4-16x50 AMX at AGS. Does anyone have both Hawke and MTC scopes? What I'm really asking I guess is spending more on a scope going to remedy my current situation?

I have a 4x12 sidewinder. Love it. I have owned 2 Hawke scopes with no problems. My friend had a Hawke for 2 years on a NP2, it started having issues, Hawke replaced it immediately. MTC may be great, but I know Hawke is.

You are sure it is not you lining your eye up different. Does not take much to shoot different poi. If it was just as simple as looking through a scope from anywhere, gun shoots would be boring as everyone would have perfect scores. I have 3 Hawke scopes on three Excalibur crossbows and love them. I do in time plan of Hawke for my pellet rifles. CHEERS!

I believe it's the scope because when the POI changes it hits the exact same wrong spot many times in a row. For instance, when I hit 10 bulls eyes in a row (when on a bench rest and only shooting 12.5yds in my basement) and then all of a sudden the shots go 1/8" low and to the left for the next 10 shots. If I or the gun or the pellets were to fault the misses would be random.
Anyway from reading the forum I know the Hawke scopes come highly recommended. Does anyone own a MTC scope?

I have been using 2 of these for 2 years, had them on my HW springers and now one is on my Brocock .22. Neither every changed settings, and maintain zeros for the length of time they've been on rifles.
I always tap the left side adjustment turret, or that side of the scope at the adjustment turrets, to settle the cross hairs if making changers. The scope always more where they should, reflecting any change made - and no not move further.

I've got the MTC / Optisan Mamba Lite in 4-16x44. It's been a very usable scope. Has always held zero well for me, and easy to use. Excellent reticle on it, and the glass is decent. Eye relief is a little picky at high zoom. Clicks seem to take right away when zeroing in.
