Crosman 1377 moding help

Hey this is my first time posting on here so yeah...
Anyway, ive been moding my 1377 for awhile now, or more so thinking about it... so right now i just have a stock, but i was looki g at some barrels... i want to keep it 177 cal., so i was thinking about the m4 177 barrel, because the 760 is not rifled. So, would that work, or should i look into another barrel? Also should i get a steel breach or just the scope mounts that go on the barrel for like 20 bucks? What one should i get first, barrel or sope?

No offence meant and I am certainly no expert and learning myself. Why did you buy a pistol to begin with? Why not just buy a rife? Maybe I am weird but I don't get it. Three hundred dollars and in the end one has a goofy looking rifle. Custom is good if one of a kind. Sell parts so it looks the same as all the rest who done it before you. My opinion on it. But that is me. Seen some nice pellet rifles for $300 and then you still have a pistol. If you can not see where you hit through your scope, it is time to buy a new scope. Spend money on good optics and they will move along with you. CHEERS!

I don't think the M4-177 or the 760 barrels work on the 13xx. Also you can get 18-24" barrels in 177 meant for the 13xx/22xx series. But looking at 40 $ after taxes/shipping for a barrel. Honestly I never had any luck with the barrel mounted mounts. They always had too much play for my liking.

I called and they said they only had ones that were "compatible", but they didn't even tell me which ones... were are you getting them then?

Accuracy starts at the breech, and plastic doesn't cut it. I say the first thing you should buy and install is the steel breech.

But be aware that a longer barrel may also raise the velocity over 500 fps, which would make your pistol restricted (RPAL).

I put a 14.5" barrel on my 1322 and it was still under 500fps with a stock valve. Canadashootingsupply.ca also sells them. Probably the cheapest shipping will be with gravelagency.com, but they are slower. I am only guessing, others would know better, but with your stock detuned valve you might get away with the 14.5" in .177 and still be legal. Makes it safer if you are absentminded like myself! I got used to shooting the 1322 with my hand on the end of the forestock, then I switched barrels to a 10"and with the scope on wasn't paying attention trying to sight it in, blasted my left pointer finger! Pellet got stuck on the bone and surgeon had heck of a time getting it out. Anyway, hopefully you aren't as careless as myself, still it can improve accuracy for those longer shots, depending on the barrel. I think Eric at scopesandammo.com gets his recrowned so should be great.
