Re: 2240 custom build (post your custom build if you want!)
I finally took the time to take picture of my 9 meter grouping when i tested my build , Thought it might interest you if i post them !
Here's the first target with a 5 shot group and a 10 shot group (don't mind the other pellet hole , is was doing adjustment to the scope)
And this is the second target , i did only one 10 shot group at 9 meters
This is my 9 meter indoor range ,it look less than 9 meters but i assure you it is!
Let me know what you guys think !

Great shooting! Even nicer looking gun! Can't beat it in my opinion, for looks, and with the repeater, just ideal!

Shrouds make these guns. I'm hoping I can find a 3/4" OD tube I can use to custom make one for mine.

Yes the shrouded barrel is a big part of the look..reduce the loud bark of the 2240 too ! There is a video on youtube that explain how to make a shroud for the 22xx
Here is the link if you have not already seen it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=os9DITHBe9s)

Built back in fall of 1999 Cr2240 with the first of the Crooked Barn breeches and RBest Target grips in Zebra wood. 25 of these were built under contract. 3 of which, plus the proto type remained in Canada.
These were the predecessors to the Boss Valve, Crosman's Custom Shop and an inspiration to a many airgun enthusiasts. Which like this thread continue today.

They are really nice ! if i understand ,those 2240s were designed by you and sold by crosman as limited edition custom pistols using your name ?Whitewolf wrote:Built back in fall of 1999 Cr2240 with the first of the Crooked Barn breeches and RBest Target grips in Zebra wood. 25 of these were built under contract. 3 of which, plus the proto type remained in Canada.

The low number of 25 makes it quite a rare piece to own for a collector !

Not quite Mr. Hitchy. Contract was with an American vendor.Mr. Hitchy wrote:They are really nice ! if i understand ,those 2240s were designed by you and sold by crosman as limited edition custom pistols using your name ?Whitewolf wrote:

I was approached by Crooked Barn months prior upon the breech design. And then the design of the target grips. At the time Zebra wood seemed to be the most exotic of woods for pistol grips. In 01 IIRC was when Bryan and Associates copied the valve system and were CNC machined. Giving rise to the Boss valve. The pistols were made with Cr1322 bbls, extended bolt probes, sears from Cr SSP250s, and other tuning and asthetic bits. The entire gun was bead blasted and Electroless Nickel coated. Breeches laser engraved
Numbers 1,2,3 were vaccum sealed and put away for my 3 son's at which time they'll recieve when the pistols reach their 25yr date of conception.
As for the sales to my knowledge 2 went to Europe 1 to South Africa 1 to South America rumor of 1 going to Japan. The rest were sold within the US. Number 7 and 13 however have made their journey back into Canada.
Over the years I've built varients in .177 .20 .22 .25 .30 and .32 in both Co2 and HPA formats
.

A little update with my carbine ! I bought a small tactical flashlight and decided to mount it on top of the scope ring.
I find this very practical and it fit the carbine very well with the tactical look!
Here are some pictures:

Whats the difference between a 2240/2250/2260? only a couple to a few inches.

My carbine started out as a 2240.... i kept all the internal of the 2240,the 7.5 inches barrel and the grip frameAce wrote:thought the thread said 2240....
It is a mix of the 2250 (stock and forearm) and the 2260 main tube and rod but it is nothing more than a disguise in reality
I just decided to do something different than a pistol with it and i still call it a 2240 as it all started out as one
