Purchased a Diana 24 over the summer for backyard target fun. Not bad for the 20m range of my yard. Then in September I joined a nearby club in New Westminster and have been using their Walther CO2 pcp 10m match rifle.
This whole thing started when I was surfing some of UK's FT websites. It's a big deal over there from what I can tell. So I'll be getting a PAL with the purpose of picking up a Steyr FT or Walther Dominator. Any thoughts or opinions on these units or suggestion for others? Looking for long term parts and service support. No exotic units for me.
Love to get an AZ created Steyr but I have no idea what paperwork I'll need to clear Canada customs as this rifle will be PAL required. Any answers to this one?
Many thanks,
Dan
I have scuba tanks with K-valves.
Newbie looking for a FT rifle, suggestions please.

For ease of purchasing, get either the Steyr or the Walther from Illingworth Imports, also known as airgunsonly.com. The service is very good and they do have them in stock, rather than custom ordered each time. Of course, depending on how many they have sold in the last little while, they might be waiting for a new shipment. I have shot the Walther and I own a Steyr FT. The Walther is a great gun, but I am biased towards the Steyr as I like the overall design and simply, it shoots where I aim. Both are totally recoiless, but the Steyr is a slightly flatter shooting rifle as it is a 24 joule rifle and the Walther is a 21 joule. Sometimes the extra speed comes in very handy to penetrate a crosswind with the heavy pellets normally shot from these high powered FT rifles.
