OK gentleman I believe our youngster has definitely found his way of not mentioning is hunting intentions here every again.

But now upon Turkey hunting within Canada, is there any province out there that does allow the use of a single projectile other then an arrow for legal hunting?

BC - shotguns or rimfires

No mention if ML's, but my flinters are all RIMFIRE as the fire comes in at the rim of the powder chamber. That argument might work as they technically are rimfires. A caplocks using a bolster breech system, however ignite the powder charge usually in the middle as the flash channel angles over to the middle/right of the breech plug, just off centre. However a drum and nipple arrangement is also fired by the flame coming in at the rear edge of the powder charge.

While it true that rimfire is a method of ignition. I don't see you really winning that case. Being that firearm is still a muzzle loader.

From the Ontario Hunter Education Program web site:

Hunting in general;

Firearms include air or pellet guns, bows and crossbows. You may use semi-automatic or repeating firearms for hunting in Ontario, but not handguns or fully automatic firearms. Air and pellet pistols with a muzzle velocity less than 500 feet per second may be used for hunting in Ontario.

however to hunt anything in Ontario you must have competed the hunter education program. you no longer have to complete a separate turkey hunting course to hunt turkey.

Turkey hunters are permitted to use shotguns, muzzle-loading shotguns and bow hunting equipment. The use of rifles is not allowed.


So in Ontario if was trained, and had a hunting license he could hunt very small game/birds with is air pistol but not a turkey.
