First PCP Webley Raider 10 in 177
First PCP Webley Raider 10 in 177
Hey Guys;
Just bought this rifle & need a pump.
The adapter provided doesn't fit my buddies 3 stage Gerhmann (spelling) for his CZ200T. Scuba tanks are out due to cost and I don't anticipate using the Raider much, just during hunting season when I don't want to use a powder burner. Cabelas has the Benjamin PCP pump, but it is $219 and again, doesn't look like the connection would be correct. Called Jocelyn here in Ottawa/Gatineau & chatted, he said he didn't have a used pump & advised Cabelas. Looked at aliexpress as they have some PCP pumps, but might be throwing my $$$ away trying to save a couple bucks...
Totally newbie questions I know. Help me out please! I appreciate your advice, links, pics etc.
Thanks

And if it's not obvious, I need to be spoon fed. Literally don't know what I am doing! No laughing, chuckle.

Pictures of what you have and what you need to adapt to would help. Chances are, when you do find another pump, you're going to need the adapters anyway.
What fitting came with the gun? And what fittings/end is on your buddies pump?
Just read up on it here... http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2008/07/ ... 10-part-1/
Looks like you need a 1/8" BSPP thread hose or adapter for the pump hose to fit the fill probe that comes with your gun.

Don't take life too serious... It's not like you're gonna make it out alive.

Thanks AFA! I'm going to go read that link!
Here is a pic of the nozzle that came with the Raider. I included the rotary mag in the pic for some scale . I don't think I will purchase a adapter/hose for my buddies air pump as I will just have to give it back...
So, I may pick up the Hatsan pump that has been recommended... And then I guess figure out how to connect it if the fittings don't match?
I never imagined a decent pump would cost me the same as the PCP rifle, chuckle!
Cheers & Thanks

Try pricing out a decent HPA compressor.RaiderFan wrote: I never imagined a decent pump would cost me the same as the PCP rifle, chuckle!
A used scuba tank is the way to go and fills are not that expensive. You just have to sign a waver that you will not be using the tank as a personal air supply before a scuba shop will fill.
I have some airguns.

Update, I went with the Hatsan PCP pump from Kelly's Sporting Goods. $249.99
I added a small item to the order, bumping me over $250 & got shipping included.
Thanks for the advice & help guys! Can't wait to shoot some groups with my Raider!
Cheers

Where are you finding Lapua pellets?
Google-fu is not finding much on them. Wonder if their pellets are/were as consistent as their rim-fire competition ammunition...

I got some of them in a bulk purchase of pellets from someone clearing them out... Have not tried them yet & I don't think I have more than that one can.Where are you finding Lapua pellets?

My Hatsan PCP hand pump arrived, 5 minutes later my Raider was sitting at 200 bar!

Finally got to the range... Sighted in @ 20m, brought it back to 10 m & was still on target. I assume the trajectory of the pellet peaks somewhere between 10 & 20m?
I then took it back to 5m to see where it was & it hits 3/4" low.
20 shots (2 ten round mags) between fill ups with the pump, no problem. I forgot to look at the gauge on the rifle before filling, sigh next time!
The small game better watch out this fall, chuckle!
Cheers
