The following are quotes from my correspondence with Daisy CSR. It seems that they will be changing their pellets so if you have some guns that like these pellets, you may want to stock up before the end of the year.
The 7597 and the 557 are the same pellet. I don’t price items so I can only guess that the price difference likely has something to do with the cost between the metal tin and the plastic box packaging.
FYI - As we switch to the GAMO supplied pellets by the end of the year these will all become obsolete

A while back when I was looking for cheap pinking pellets I bought 4 tins of Gamo pellets. Every tin was the same with pellets that were either loose fitting snug fitting or to big and didn't go in at all. I threw them all in the garbage.
I tried Daisy hollow points after that and have had no issues and they shoot well in most of my guns. This seems like a step down to me.
Too bad. The hollow points seemed to shoot well in my crosman as well. They used to be $9 on amazon now they aren't selling them in 22. Mine were badly bent up from shipping anyway from them anyway but maybe a sign stock is already running out?
As a side note, a seller on amazon is selling crosman domed 22 500 tin for $7 something, free shipping. Decided to risk an order, so cheap!
Oddly enough the Daisy wads in .22 shoot the tightest groups in my macho 38T. Nothing else mind you, but for that purpose alone I need them. I was wondering where they all went.
