Standard .22 dovetail mount to Weaver rail adapter?

#1 Post by Ace12GA »

Anyone seen an adapter that will mount on the .22 dovetail found on most air rifles that will give a weaver rail in its place? I have a tonne of weaver rail optical accessories from my airsofting, and would love to be able to use them on IZH-61, but of course, no weaver rail, and a plastic receiver, which means no drilling and tapping for a rail.

Thanks in advance fellas.

Weaver adapt.

ACE - a Weaver TO10 'might' do the trick. These rails have two set-screws that lock it in in place after sliding onto the existing 3/8 dovetail. Having said that, all 3/8 dovetails are not created equal and the adaptor might not fit in this particular application.

Yup. As far as I know the TO10 is the only one. That being said....you CAN drill and tap your plastic. (did it with my Drozd) just put a drop of epoxy into the screw holes, clamp the rail down to the gun with c clamps or quick grips, then put in the screws till they're snug.

Leave the clamps on till the epoxy dries, then you're good to go and you can remove the screws later if you have to.

B-Square once made an adjustable adapter that would work for you. It was called the 17021. I just checked their web site and the site has changed and I can't find this base anymore. Dealers likely have old stock so you could get lucky and locate one. Straight Shooters still have the base listed on their site ($40USd).

www.milarm.com in Canada has B-Square products. They have the 17021 listed for $75Cdn (ouch!). This is an adjustable base. If you want something cheaper then maybe the 17025 (2 pc) base will work ($30Cdn). It's also listed on Milarms web site (goto Products, then Scopes/Optics).

Here is a pic and a better price on the 17025 ($19 USd).

MidwayUSA has them too ($23USd).

I guess the $30Cdn at Milarm isn't too bad for the 17025. Some web sites for American dealers have them as high as $28USd.
