Cz Slavia 630

#1 Post by Cadeau »

I bought this little guy about a month ago $199.00 new. I like it . Nice quality.

Nice wood

Hinged cocking arm

20 inch barrel

Automatic safety

The machining on the compression tube and barrel is not silk smooth like Weihrauch. You can see and feel the machine marks but it's still ok.

Nice metal trigger.

20yards . Eyes are a bit blurry

Very nice looking rifle & pics. I'm in envy of the space you have from your outdoor range.

This thread, particularly the pics - very nice on those - which show what seemed machined parts on the linkage, and the end cap, which looked to be all metal, and a very nice stock. Well, that brand rifle isn't very common in the US, but I found a seller and bought the only available model - Slavia 634 Lux. Probably the same rifle as yours other than the, now, plastic stock. Impressive design quality, and quite accurate. Was $104 shipped. I tune lubed it and installed a muzzle brake and scope. Yours, for the record, is much better looking. Nice score, and thanks. RC

634 has a stronger spring, shorter piston, and a shorter barrel than the 630/631. 634/631 has the same barrel locking system whereas 630 has the common ball detent.

634 is a bit more powerful since the shorter piston cocks further back in the compression chamber, giving it more swept volume. They're all very nice guns with excellent barrels and accuracy.

I like the slavia they are extremely accurate barrels. I picked up a rough 630 model 77 I believe one of the first from stamping lettering from what I recall and whilst it retained no bluing after a strip and clean with old school fettle it is a excellent shooting rifle.
Love the button rear safety system and a very easy cocking effort with original spring .
My girls used one to step up from their beginner rifle when they were young.

Even to myself who loves to shoot the 48/52 I enjoy holding shooting the 631.
Cracking rifle little seen .

I have a salvia zvp too somewhere, lovely metal work quality.feels like real gun steel .

I am suitably impressed with your little rifle, Cadeau.
The stock looks great and the smooth-grind on the metal is just fine.
Seems to shoot quite well, too. Well done.
Best Wishes
