Barrel band lifting front breech a bit?

i recently put a 1/4" riser on my 2240 and I noticed the BB i bought is slightly lifting the front of the breech just slightly. You can move the 1/4" riser up and down a bit just at the front closest to barrel.

Could I sand down the inside bottom of the top hole in BB where barrel goes, then shim with some tin off a pop can?
