Why is a 4x15 Scope have less magnfcation then a 4x32 scope?

Why is a 4x15 Scope have less magnfcation then a 4x32 scope?

Is this just a perception thing, or does crosman's cheap scopes lie about the magnification...

Probably a perception thing, caused by a different field of view, or clarity of the optics....

or they could be wrong about the magnification....

Smaller FOV because less light coming in, giving the impression Its smaller.
