A multi pump pneumatic it can reach close to 495 fps with CPHPs at 3 pumps with the proper adjustments.

Although it is a lot pricier than a P17 - it can be comparable in price to a P3 if bought used...

A pic of mine with a front grip for added stability when shooting:

Sorry for the hijack... :(
I like your setup . Could you please let me know if your Alecto has an aftermarket barrel with the 1/2"-20 UNF threads at the end? If so, where did you get yours ? I'm really interested in an extended , threaded barrel for my Alecto.
Thanks

Go for it, MC! My workshop backstop holds dual paper targets, thus my reasoning to have 2 P17's (2-person competition)!

HD,

Sorry for the offense, or enjoy the pleasure (depends if you like the P17)!?
My recommendation...Get some RWS Hobby 7.0g .177 wad cutters and try the P17 out as is (great 10m pistol). Later, you can mod to .22, or just get another P17 .177 to mod. IMHO, it really is a lot of fun wrapped up in an inexpensive compact pistol! :drinkers:

Thx Ted,
I have a few tins of RWS R-10 7g. and a few RWS Superdome 8.3g I'll try.

For $50 ea. I did ordered two. Saves on shipping right!
Once I fined myself a .22 barrel (or two) I can do some modding.
Not sure if I like tinkering more than I like plinkering...Image

Hey Wllm~ did you get your P17 yet?? I just picked mine from post office this evening...and...........I got a lemon... the gun is a defective one out of the box... just sent email to CSS to see how to return and exchange for another one... Thanks guys to let me know the deal from CSS, I can't image that if I bought it from the States, and got the same lemon... Hopefully I will just like other "lucky" guys that had the first one defective then got the second one which can last for yearsss....

Just thinking if a HW40 would be better, But in the other hand, for $160 used or $300 new to buy a plastic gun looks too expensive... Because the plastic shell of the P17 is really really cheap except the grip is smooth and comfort to hold, the overlever just...

Just one million thumbs to the service from C.S.S.

I can't believe I already have the response from them and not just one auto reply from the system. It's a real human sent me a return label to drop off the defective P17 to the post office AND a new shipment notice to sending me the replacement one.

It just gave me so much confidence to buy from C.S.S the next time and the next next next time !!

Hi YepYep.... I'm curious about why your P17 was a lemon. What was the problem? When I bought mine in early 2010 the pump seal lasted about 200 shots and started to leak. The fix was a 50 cent seal that I bought locally at a hydraulics shop. I think I'm still using that seal. The poor quality originals often leak.

Right out of the box, at my first time to cock the gun, it takes no force to close the overlever, of course when you pull the trigger, no air out...

Then the following some cocking, it's a bit hard to close the lever, looks normal, but very very weak air out when you pull the trigger....

I don't know where goes wrong and sent the email to CSS, told them what happened and they sent me the replacement directly...

Uhh ~ I think I might cut one thumb as Raman the CS didn't tell me what happened to the gun as I want to add some stuffs to my airgun knowledge database...

Did I ask for too much ?? [emoji16][emoji16]

I can't stop talking this again and again! It's so impressive that I sent the first email on 8:31pm, and got the first reply from Raman on 9:07pm that let me know what he's going to help me out and following I got several emails included CP's shipment notification, and return label from CP, and the same return label sent again to me from Raman....

You might want to get yourself a couple of piston seals and breach seals so your ready when the originals rip or tear. The numbers are 117 and 009. Use a little 30W-ND oil on them and they should last for years. When you replace the piston seal, also check the intake hole for a little burr on the inside. Mine had a burr that kept taking a small chunk off the seal. Easy fix.

The C/S at CSS is amazing! Kudos to them!
