so, i bought a old crosman .357 for 20 bucks at a gun show today. the barrel doesn't properly lock in place, it's easy to accentley knock it loose. anyway, even if i hold the barrel in place, the cylinder only rotates once, and then i have to manually move it.

Re: Crosman .357 Magazine not rotating
Little plastic clip broke off that holds the plastic bar against the gears of the clip inside. I bought some and extras from Gravel Agency for a couple dollars apiece. You need to down load the parts breakdown sheet of the gun and look up the number yourself. Gravel Agency is no help at all and do not even respond to emails. See if I can find it for you. CHEERS!

index finger is broken or the face plate plastic tab pushing the index finger is broken, easy to replace but you need to open up the gun. I was given free a 357, it was leaking and not rotating, cost me $75, but on that I have couple spare parts so next time I have the parts. Got it all from Eric at scopeandammo.ca
The part list is there

I suggest you replace 357-035, -052, -053, -036 at minimum + strongly the rubber that keep's the gun closed 357-021. These should not cost more then $5 each...
Mine shoot ok now and is very accurate even at longer range ...

The thing that rotates the cylinder works/moves fine, and the first shot rotates, its just every shot after that. also the wedge has turned to goo, so thats why the barrel won't stay closed, witch may have to do with it, too.. guess i need to order that part as well.
Re: Crosman .357 Magazine not rotating
I ordered parts which lead to buying more parts and many headachs. I have 3 of the old 357's and I gave up on the one and will eventually likely sent it to R & R Airgun Repair. Right now it is in the original box and may even keep it just for parts. Got 2 Vigilantes as well. R & R did me well on my 1008 Crosman RepeatAir. CHEERS!

I will now go bash my head into a cement wall...
Re: Crosman .357 Magazine not rotating
I have put pellets in mine and shot and nothing so I unscrewed the cylinder and a full tank of gas came pouring out. It had a full gas cylinder and I forgot safety was on. LOL
