Bring a Marauder Rifle in from USA

#1 Post by bernie »

HI:I will be in Florida at a cousins place for a couple weeks this winter.
I know the difference between a Cnd and a US of A Marauder version are the baffles in the shroud. They are easy to take out especially as I am at this guys place with a shop.
I have a PAL and have brought over powder burners with out any issue.
Has anyone taken a Marauder back (properly modified) from the US?
Thanks

Yup - contact customs there is paperwork needed. Serial number, manufacturer etc can’t remember the rest. Best to have it shipped via postal instead of being detained at the airport.

Doesn't the Canadian version of the MRod have the shroud shortened so that you can't just put the baffles back into it?....

HI:RCMP got back to me:
as mentioned this morning the Benjamin model Marauder is a non-restricted firearm when it's not equipped with a shroud.

Then how is it that the CND version has the same shroud in place?
They made quite a point about the fact that the baffles AND the shroud be removed?
