At least I know the chronies are bullet proof (9mm), arrow proof, of course pellets just a piece of cake ~

And one more question... Isn't that we should use the chrony to test muzzle speed not the target hit speed, right? In what case you guys can shoot the chrony just 1 feet in front of you ?!

Oh its not bullet proof. I just caught a lip. Lower and it would been new chrony for me.

Hit mine in the same place as you...but with the 1377 on 3 pumps.....next day on 7 pumps.so just a slight bend.

Well this was a 124grn .355 going at 1040 FPS. I haven't had any issues since going to a different tripod.

I was lucky to get my new F1 Chrony @ AGS over the summer at a discounted price of $95.00. Since I strictly use it indoors, I have to use special LED puck lights for the shots to register. I bought the two LED lights at "The Source" for about $5.00 each. They mount easily on the diffusers using a magnet. The actual Chrony LED lamps that you can purchase separately are priced around $100.00. I find the puck lights that run on triple A batteries do the job well and you don't have to spend a fortune on Chrony LED Lamps.



The only downside to this chrony is the muzzle placement over the sensors have to be between 4 to 6 inches above to get the best results. I had to mark the 5 inch point on the wire rods with a black marker to be able to situate my muzzle properly on every shot.

Yes.....4 to 6 inches above the sensors.....that's what I also discovered.....although a bit too late..

I just glued washers to my screens to stick the LED pods on.

I use a stack of rare earth magnets above the screens to hold the pucks under the screen, for indoors testing.

The $5.00 pucks I bought from CT, looking exactly like those pictured above, already had a magnet on the back.

i have absolutely no problem shooting my chrony sitting under my 4ft florescent tube lighting

I have the f1 and it works very good. According to the book you need to be between 3 and 5 feet from the end of the muzzle for pellet guns and the bigger the caliber the farther away for power burners. I shot mine, took it in and they repaired it while I waited with and upgrade for 65 dollars. I'm lucky to be 30 minutes away from the manufacturer.

I have the red coloured Alpha Chrony equipped with the Chrony lighting system for indoor use. It works great. I have no complaints.
