Cleaning stippled-wood pistol grips

#1 Post by ezplnkr »

Hoping I don't damage the original finish when cleaning my pistol grips.

I assume an old used toothbrush is employed. Not sure what to use as a cleaning agent? Simple dish soap and water? Ballistol? Goo Gone? White vinegar? TSP? Other?

Any advice?

Cheers.

This is what I've used for many years to clean antiques and delicate wood surfaces, it usually is available in grocery stores:
