Umarex Legends Cowboy Lever Action CO2 Air Rifle .177!

#1 Post by Keith_b »

I came across this today on the Pyramyd Air site.

Unfortunately, it shoots pretty hot at 535 fps; I'm hoping they offer a detuned (sub-500 fps) version for the Canadian market. It looks amazing and it uses the Colt Peacemaker shells too!

There's a video on the Midway USA site:

Interesting to note, the Midway USA site lists the max muzzle velocity at 410 fps?

I'm really hoping it fires less than 500 fps...I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

It looks like it fires steel BBs only - in which case it is Canada legal at under 5.7 joules of energy at the rated fps....

That thing looks great! It will be a pain to get those shells back when you're done shooting but I want one bad.
Now if only they can make a Thompson sub machine... Shouldn't be too hard to make one on the MP40 base.

This one looks interesting too:

Facebook is like ancient Egypt, people write on walls and worship cats

You can’t buy a single airgun for everything. Golfers use many different clubs, airgunners need more than one gun

Yes that's right...its only rated at .3.3 fpe using 5.2 gr. b.b.s..…should be available in "overly" cautious Canada. :D

I own this:

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Daisy_Po ... /1719/3463

It is legal to own in Canada because at the rated 520 fps with steel BBs it is at 4.23 joules with 5.2 gn BBs -well below the max of 5.7 joules allowed.

I just e-mailed raman at Canada shooting supply. he said he,s getting some. should have them by the end of the month. he said they are pal-rated. which will suck. I,ve been waiting for ages for this gun to come out. I asked him if he could let us know any thing more about them on here.

Thanks for the "PAL-rated" confirmation Pete, that's a shame. I already have a great little lever action .22, so there's no sense in me buying a PAL-rated lever action BB gun. Hopefully, someone offers a detuned version in the future.

raman from Canada shooting supply said he,s going to talk to umarex about detuned ones. I think he is going to come on here later and explain everything to us in more detail.

just going by what he said so far. this is what he said-- "only issue is that they are going to be pal rated since they will shoot above 500fps as per manufacturers specs." so he is probably going by only what he knows so far. they aren,t even out yet so there,s probably very little information about them yet. we,ll just have to wait and see if he does come on here and tells us more.

Thanks for all of the comments/feedback everyone. Hopefully, we get some clarification in the near future. Fingers crossed.

Now if only they'll make a .177 CO2 powered Sharpes Carbine clone. :D
