Hi from Regina

#1 Post by popcanaerator »

Hi all. I'm another one of those retired old guys who hasn't lost interest in guns and shooting. I had a few airguns as a kid, and when I was old enough I did some duck and goose hunting, and varmints with 22's etc. I was also in a handgun (firearm) club for awhile. However, as the years passed I found my primary remaining passion is for simple plinking, and as new laws passed I became strictly an airgun owner. I'm having just as much fun, and with no hassles. My shooting buddy recently moved into an apartment style condo. That makes both of us now, so we lost our basement range. With that, we're waiting for Spring and a chance to get out again. Happy to be here, and Happy New Year everyone!

Welcome! I'm just an hour west of you, on the number 1 highway [emoji846]. Great to have a fellow Saskatchewan airgunner on here! I'm anxiously awaiting spring as well!

Welcome to the forum (from a newbie as well),

totally understand about losing the basement shooting range - I'm at a condo complex, not much to shoot at, sadly.
But at one of my workplace I do have the opportunity to.

All the best in 2018

Welcome popcanaerator. Regina, eh. I spent 6 months there in 72/73.
Now retried as well, but kept a bunch of CF's and RF's - along with some air guns, all P.A.L. rifles.
Best Wishes

Thanks very much for all the warm welcomes! When I think about it I've actually had quite a list of both powder burners and airguns along the way - including long guns and handguns in both categories. However, I've never been the "collector" type. I just kept finding new stuff I liked better, and created a bit of a revolving door in that regard. I figured I would always go with my favorite, and didn't see any point in holding on to guns I likely wouldn't use. Some of you might be cringing to hear that, but that's me. Anyway, for that reason it would be more impressive to list what I've had, but I know that doesn't count, so my current list of prized possessions is: 1) Anschutz Model 330 .177 break barrel spring rifle. 2) Umarex Steel Force with a red dot. 3) Daisy Powerline 415 4) Crosman 2240 with just the steel breech kit so far. That's it. So, thanks again and have a good one!

Greetings back at everyone again. An extra nod to you folks in Nova Scotia. ^^^^^^^ We've only been out there (and P.E.I.) once, about ten years ago now. A beautiful place it is! Sorry to hear about the mega storm heading your way. Take care out there!

Welcome popcanerator. I spent a few months (7) of my life in Regina, back in 72. Nice place,

and had a lot of fun out on the relatives ranch, out South of Moosejaw shooting gophers most every

Saturday (if not involved in Troop Sports in the Arena) or Sunday, the only real day off training.

Regina was a nice city, but quite hot in the Summer.
Best Wishes
