I have been noticing.....
That on my quest, somtimes its harder to break open the barrel, and somtimes its easier. is this normal? would greasing the 2 things that lock together fix this?

Try this link for a good tune up guide:
http://www.funsupply.com/airguns/B19%20Super%20Tune.htm
It is written for the XS B18/B19 but applies equally to the Quest
Hope this helps

Remove the stock, check the pivot screw tightness. Check alignment of the barrel with compression tube. Should be straight or slightly angled down. To adjust that turn the pivot bushing until the desired effect is achieved with the pivot screw done up tight.
Then check the lock up action. Mine has been awesome to date.
