Hi Mulby,
The
JSB Shak is not their Match Grade pellet. The
JSB Shak is actually their budget priced, lower quality control, wadcutter pellet... but they still shoot great. The
Shak may have "some detail finish mistakes". Shak is sometimes referred to as their "practice pellet". The
JSB Match Diabolo is the higher quality, hand sorted Match Grade pellet.

I noticed that JSB now has a light weight Exact(dome) called the
Express. I sure hope Scott Illingworth decides to import this version too. The .177 will be 7.87gr and the .22 caliber will be 14.35 grains.
I first discovered JSB pellets 5 years ago, in 2000. A friend had a tin he got for free from Ray McDougall. Once my friend saw they were Czech made he gave them to me. At first I had the same preconceived thoughts but decided to give them a try. The low retail price was not what I would expect for such high quality and accuracy. What... not a German pellet! The JSB turned out to be a top performer in my TAU-7 and TAU-200. It also shot very well from my friend's Steyr LP-10. After I tried the Exacts, I was hooked.
