CLICK!

#1 Post by link_dc »

when i crack open my pellet gun, break barrel, your suppose to hear a click right? well when i close it, i dont hear a click, but a kinda lower pitch click. is that normal, somtimes you can hear a nice click, and somtimes you hear a lower pitch click. is that normal? i dont know if im describing it right... but i think you get the picture.

All depends on how fast you put the barrel back up. I have the same thing with my break barrel. Usually the slower I put it back up the louder the click. The faster I put it up the softer it is. Don't worry about your quest 500x. It's a great rifle. As long as it's shooting fine and functioning otherwise then don't worry about the clicking sounds. Aslo when the faster you break it over the easier it is to cock. And the slower you break it over the harder it is. Same goes with every break barrel.

well i tried using the other hand, and i clicked alsmost everytime! but after a while it didnt, so i guess its random? i greased it and it didnt click as much... so theres nothing wrong with it? as long as it locks in place its fine right?

In my experience you're gonna get some kind of mechanic noise when opening and closing the breech on a break barrel. This is because of the locking cam locking into and releaseing the barrel. As long as it locks in firmly and releases cleanly you shouldn't have a problem

so its normal for whatever noise it makes as long as it locks in completely?

Sorry I didn't reply again last night. But yes as long as it locks theres nothing wrong with it. Don't worry about certain clicking sounds.
