The Crosman importers in Canada say by January 2006 we should see the Quest 800 , no word yet on the 495 version ..but as always you can buy the parts from Crosman ..the .22 barrel will be available ..I wonder if there is much of a difference in the port size .

Men, I asked Sylvie at Crosman Canada and she asked the other person there ???? and they say no way the .22 is coming to Canada.
I sure hope they are wrong. They also once said the breechs weren't available and now they are if mine ever arrives from B.Order status
Sure would smile with a pair of Quests!!!!!

Hey guy's,
Frank, how are you?
Quite a while back I posted on the Airguns Canada forum about swapping out the barrels on my .22 and .177cal Diana 24's to see if the slight difference in t-port size made a differnce in either rifle. The result of the .22 barrel on the .177 action was about 8-10fps slower than the .22 barrel on the .22 action. And the .177 barrel on the .22 action yeilded the opposite, 8-10fps faster than the .177 barrel on the .177 action. The rifle with the slightly larger t-port was the .22 action. OMG, that sounds confusing, oh well, I'm sure you get the point. An important note on this little experiment is that the .22 24 has about 4000rnds, while the .177 24 had maybe 500rnds. I think that says alot for the durability of these rifles, I havn't had to change so much as a breech O-ring, and they both perform as well or better than when new.
Sorry to hijack the thread though, but I do agree that a PAL .22 Quest would be pretty cool. If you end up getting one, let me know if there are any differences in the t-port size.

Hi Mulby ,
I remember the 24 barrel swap you did ..I imagine the .22 cal quest will have a larger transfer port . The .22 should do 680 14.3 gr in PAL version for a healthy 15fpe .
Walter ..I know how much you appreciate and enjoy the quest you have ...and look forward to your write up of the .22 version .
