Best pellets to use in a Webley Tempest .22 caliber

#1 Post by CaptainStef1 »

Can anyone of you guys tell me what would be the best pellets to use in my Webley Tempest.? Presently using copperhead wad cutters, it shoots well but can anyone suggest me something to maximize my results?

I have a Webley Hurricane in .177 calibre and it requires a wide skirted pellet. Mibro Caledonians work noticably better than Crosman Wadcutters.
I hope this helps.

BTW how do you find the trigger?

My Hurricane is also in .177, but IIRC, alot of people use RWS Superdome's with good results. If it's a wadcutter you want, try the Gamo Match(wadcutter). Or maybe even the RWS Hobbies, they are about 12grs I think and should give you a bit of a velocity boost, HTH.

The trigger is a bit stiff but not as bad as I read on many sites. I have tried this pistol today for the first time and I love it. I just find that the pellets I am using are a bit loose in the Barrel and slide about 1/4 to 1/2 inches inside the chamber when I am loading it. It as beautiful riflings and shoot really good. Now am thinking about the wood combat grips as I feel the grip a bit small for my hand. the only real thing I do not like on it is the hyper fragile foreand that I have to change because it is cracked. but I am lucky to have bought this pistol from Marvin. the new part is already in the mail. Marvin is really a good guy to buy from. I recomand him to anyone.
