#1 Post by pete »

but they take a bit of work. i use these little thingy,s (still no idea what they are called) i found in the electrical aisle at home hardware-- for every thing except electrical. they only cost a quarter and with a bit of work i turn them into knock down targets. i,ll take some more pics when i,m fully done making the target. double click for bigger pic.

A bit late but these are really cool. Cheap and effective.

Nice work.

Electrical "wire protectors" I call them. Running wires through a stud wall you are supposed to hammer one into studs so drywallers don't put a screw threw stud and into wire running threw the middle.

Thanks for that explanation. Maybe I'm not the only one to understand that I should be doing that.

ya thanks wh. i figured they were made to hammer into some where because of the pointed spike parts on each end. i,ll probably never use them for there intended purpose . so to me for now they are targets. i made these ones to hang down and when i hit them they go up and stick to the magnets.

or i just add a little piece to the back and let them stand upright and shoot them. these 4 standing ones are a bit thinner metal. bbs put a little dimple in them but they can still take a beating.

some are a little thicker gage metal-- like these ones. and they are 50 cents each. tough little suckers-- you can shoot these like crazy and barely put a dent in them. with my co2 pistols.

Those are known in the building industry as anti nail plates, they come in different gauge thickness and are used for the protection of electrical, plumbing and flex "yellow jacket" gas lines throughout the building. I've seen some very large ones for various circumstances.
