The 99s is another name of the 50, right?

So anything new added to this new old design? (or say, anything they didn't put on it in the past decades?! [emoji38])

Remember Weihrauch just gave a new designed stock in last few years and that's it...

Agree YepYep. 1 word: yawn.
Maybe they could come up with a side lever or a multi-shot under lever or something innovative.

Weihrauch looks used all the numbers to name the guns... Maybe a brand new designed HW68 for a side lever springer?! (the 7 had been used for under lever like 77/97...)

Hmm... Maybe 69? Because they can save the 8 for multi shot as the digit '8' looks like a cycling thing...

However other ppl makes side lever, i am really want to see a side lever Weihrauch!! :)

The "point" of this rifle, is that is is a starter rifle, I assume - by the price-point.
I doubt they will make a "low-cost" side or under lever.
Are there any differences between this one and an HW50? Appears to me, the HW50 in .22 is lower power and costs more.
It is also heavier.

The folks at Weirauch are pretty smart (I assume since they have been doing this business for a loooong time, successfully) - and likely they know what the market wants and needs and what their bottom line needs. Since a new forum member, Shooter519 I believe, was recently looking for the HW-99s before we were aware of it, there is at least one data point to support the demand. So, Shooter519... this is the gun you were dreaming about.
By all counts it fits between the 30s and 50s for sure, and why not. Arguably the 30s is a youth rifle, and as Daryl points out the 99s is lighter and seems a bit quicker than a 50s.

By the way, I think if Weihrauch still making the HW50? Or actually the 50 had been discontinued since the first HW99 been put to the market?

So, we are actually need to compare it to the last generation of 99 not the 50 because the 50 is history already...

And somehow a little extra weight is good for a springer I think... Especially the gun gain some extra power than before... :D

And as an owner for a HW35 I actually concern about the known issue on the 35 and the 50, the cocking lever grinding action tube... For lighter and more power new design, I rather want to hear this issue had been fixed permanently...

At one time our Canadian dealers were selling the HW99S. We had members here with this model. Then Weihrauch changed the tag to HW50S for some of their markets. The UK still calls it the HW99S. You can still get the .177cal HW50S/HW99S for $375 at the Airgun Forum Store.

Call it a 50s or 99s.. All a moot point as we dont seem to be getting any Weihrauch product into Canada the past few years

Yah, it seems that Weiharuch and Diana import has been very low these last couple of years. But, everyone seems to forget about the CAF Store. They have dozens of the HW30S and HW50S full power rifles in stock in .177 calibre. The prices are very good. Some people are asking more money for used examples.

I doubt that Weirauch will develop new spring-piston rifles in the PCP era. So only side lever we'll see is the HW100 levery...

Yah, it's been a lot of years since Weihrauch has produced a new springer air rifle model. My memory might be foggy but I think their last springer introduction was the HW57 underlever about 20-22 years ago. They never got into the underlevers, or CO2 or multi-pumpers.

A Weihrauch multi-pump pneumatic rifle would be nice.... wood stock with walnut option, all steel with deep bluing, grooved steel receiver with small bolt handle, rekord trigger, adjustable steel piston with teflon friction buttons, changeable pivot bushings, tack-driver accuracy, .177, .22 and .25cal options.
