modding your air cylinder

Not really and it is risky to mold high pressure containers. I would not do that as you may get it exploded along with your hand if not doing properly. You can live with it or get a fiber carbon bottle to replace.

I feeling ok with the factory one comes with m16a although I do got a cabon fiber for extra. Personally, I like the gun little heavier because I feel it more steady while holding without support as while without support I always shoot worse groups with light weight guns--they are just too easy to shift while squizze the triger.

Yeah~ and I found on the PCPs maybe due to the power is bigger (usually) than the co2 etc there is recoils when you pull the trigger... Didn't feel that before I got the Impact...

So I know why the muzzle, fore rail weights are very popular in aftermarket mods / parts... If you buy those longer under rail, one or two pieces weight will be coming with the purchase...

Checked around looks couldn't find a result of 'artemis smaller air tube' or thing like that... Maybe asked Wes?! He might be able to check with the factory to see if that's available or if you can use tube from other model to fit your....

The short answer, no. Not remotely possible at home and even at the factory it's not worth the expense and risk of failure to disassemble and resize. Do not risky injury or death. Buy the size you need. My apologies if this comes across poorly but these kind of home modifications should never be encouraged.

As long as correct work form is followed, I can't see why a qualified machinist couldn't do the job. I don't know how the M11 tube is made, but if it's similar to many other ones it's just a basic cut and re-thread operation, isn't it?

You would have to have it hydrostatic tested. If you have a shop in your area that does this, it would be the way to go. But for all the effort and cost involved it wouldnt be worth the effort.

If you have the machining equipment, skill, experience with said cylinder, and proper hydro testing setup sure but I have my doubts that someone asking if you can should be.

If you got a lathe it's a fairly simple operation. But yeah if you have to ask then you probably shouldn't attempt it yourself... if the thread is badly cut your end cap will become a huge projectile.

ya im just comparing the air cylinder to my hw 110 and when the airtube is as long as the stock it makes for a more balanced and lighter feel....ive seen it done on youtube...i think i dont know if he acculy cut the air tube....not somthing i would try...just the m11 feels like im pulling out a 50 caliber rifle dont like the huge long feel i like the edgun and hw 110 feels more like an airgun with the lighter weight....my 97k is like 15lbs wit a scope m11 is like 10 lbs or more with scope n bi pod....the hw 110 with the carbine barrel has a nice light feel to it and even then its kinda heavy

I've come across this a few times with rusted out construction air compressor. My brother being a welder wouldn't touch it, a machine shop wouldn't touch it either and we're only talking 120psi max.

PCP minimum 2500psi, I can't see that being cost effective even if you find a pro with the equipment to do it......If you look long enough, you will find a "butcher" that will take the job on?
