Artemis M11

#1 Post by JayDee24ca »

I took the M11 off the rack today and shot a few pellets with it, and noticed that there seems to be a very brief discharge of air that can be heard immediately after the pellet is gone. Is this a case of too weak a valve spring? It sounds almost as though the poppet is not closing the exhaust fast enough.

I have the aftermarket regulator in it, set in the middle of the range. I realize now it may be the hammer spring adjustment, which I screwed in a few months ago, and forgot. I will turn it out and see if it makes a difference. And yes, I should fire a few across the chrony to see what is happening too.

Too much hammer spring for the regulator pressure you're running.

Much better after turning down the hammer spring adjustment. Thanks all.
