The #1 problem is the counter sink hole for the breech screw where the pellet always gets jam. The #2 problem is if the opening of the barrel doesn't line up with the breech then you need a dremel or drill with sanding stone or something to make the opening of the barrel is the same size as the breech or a bit bigger.
Another way to solve the problem with loading the pellet is by pointing the barrel downward and drop in the pellet then close the breech.

i almost always try to drop the pellet in and forget about forcing with the bolt . the design of the breach is the wost thing on 2240 . the bolt always catches on my pellets .

hey folks, Ive had the same problem with the metal breech snaggin pellets too. I used some snowboard wax and dripped a drop into the screw hole to smooth it out. Maybe try beeswax, ive never tried beeswax but it will definately make ur 2240 smell nice n sweet. :) I did try candle wax and from what i remember and it didnt seem to stick as well as snowboard or ski wax. Good luck!

Hey Steeb,

Do you think a black crayon would work? I have heard of shooters using crayons to fill screw holes in the barrel.
