This was one of those weeks when everything went bad. Puter is giving trouble, gas tank on truck started leaking, honey-do jobs by the dozen, ect, ect.
The week ended on a good note when out of the blue a friend give me a chronograph
He built it in 1985 from plans in a 1969 Popular Science magazine. All that it needs is a new battery (67-1/2 volt) and a stand for the triggering screens.
The battery is $42.00 and will take several weeks to order.
A good end to a bad week

$42 for a battery.
Save the money, the battery is half the cost of a proper Chrony.
You can get a reconditioned F1 Chrony from the factory for $74.93 plus tax.

Even LeBaron sells new F1 Chronys for about $105.

it looks pretty neet . why does it need so much power . you may want to try getting a adapter from a surplus place .30v to 60v.prolly be $5 . and then you will never need to get another battery .
i bought my chrony for$59 US new and its not the cheapest one. i think $49 was the cheaper ones. the battery life on a chrony is awesome .a single 9v lasts for a year.
