Postal air pistol match

The days are getting too short for much outdoor work and the nights are too cold to venture outside ......... so, it's time to start indoor shooting.

I use to shoot better with my 2004 then my GamoCompact which is 3 times the price.papaburger wrote:The web site list the names of the participants and they pistol. Someone actually uses Marksman 2004 (with a score of 187). Other popular choices include IZH 46M, Morini, Steyr.
Sometime people shoot better with a cheappo.
Some cheappo are very accurate but don't last

You have a vast collection! I notice you have a crosman 781 also (beside the daisy 953). I just brought my 781 and the barrel was twisting and sight turn out of the box. BTW, I did not see the M2004 in your collections.

My Marksman 2004 broke after only 300 some shots so i got my money back from CanadiaTire and they don't carry it anymore at my local CanadianTire.
I find my 781 very accurate at 25' using Copperhead Pointed.
Can you exchange yours or you had it pass the warranty period?
Did you try to apoxy glue those parts together ?

Thanks for responding. I had my 781 for 3 days. Last night I took it apart with the thinking that something inside was loose. But it is not. ... I think I am off topic now.under500fps wrote:My Marksman 2004 broke after only 300 some shots so i got my money back from CanadiaTire and they don't carry it anymore at my local CanadianTire.

2289 has a peep hole sight, which is quite good. BTW, what is the correct way to use the peep hole sight ? How far should my eyes be away from the peep hole ? What sort of sight picture should I get ?webstien wrote:does a 2289 with the plastic grips count as a pistol? lol

I think your eyes should be at a distance where you can see the front sight at its sharpest .papaburger wrote: 2289 has a peep hole sight, which is quite good. When i used the peep sight on my 2289 i take out the front fiber optic gently that way i have a nice little hole to look through but i have to re-adjust the back peep sight for the elevation change.
