Post subject: Crosman Storm 1000 XT
PostPosted: Thu Jan 18, 2007 12:08 pm
I have the Crosman Storm 1000 XT which I recently purchased at Walmart (in the US). It is a Quest 1000 with a few slight differences like the stock (no groove in the fore end) and the front sight (not hooded). In fact, the part number on the manual is the EXACT same as the Quest 1000. The rated velocity is 1000, but we all know it is inflated. However, I do have some of ...

 Post subject: Chinese B2 .177
PostPosted: Mon Jan 15, 2007 1:12 pm
Hi all,

Some of you will hate this but it had to be done..

Given the bad press these UK imported Chinese guns have and their impact on the local market, I decided to buy one for my 12 year old son, who's a total newcommer to shooting, and see if they really are value for money or just not worth having. I also love tinkering so I figured a cheap rifle is easier to ...

 Post subject: Gamo G1200...
PostPosted: Sat Jan 06, 2007 3:38 pm
This is a cut and paste (slight edit and aditions) from my post in the "Mods and Repair" section. I figured this info would be at home in here...

I have to say that the G1200 is a very nicely designed and built rifle. One can open it up and work on it without parts flying all over. Everything is well laid out and appears to be made out of quality materials for a long ...

 Post subject: Webley Tempest
PostPosted: Tue Dec 26, 2006 6:04 pm
I've owned the Tempest for 25 years and could never count the many thousands of pellets that have gone through it.I bought it modded with a heavy spring.Don't own a chrony, but it probably hits about 500 fps.Much more powerful than my brothers Webley. Not too accurate but excells as a plinker.Hits a pop can almost every time at 25 meters. Not a hunting gun, but has killed a starling at 20 meters.Trigger is adjustable but is ...

 Post subject: XS b9-1 review
PostPosted: Tue Dec 26, 2006 1:04 pm
I got my B9 after and exchange, as soon as I unpacked it I fire a few rounds. I loved the multi scale pistol scope, I put it on my sons 2004 and installed a red dot on the B9 :D .

The B9 was crap  , but I expected that. I took it ...

 Post subject: QB78
PostPosted: Tue Dec 26, 2006 12:34 am
Just got a new QB78 from my girlfriend for Christmas.
Very nice rifle, quite a bit nicer than I'm used to for the price.

First impressions:
I couldn't understand why people say it needs work. Mine was very clean, with only the butt pad slightly off center, but I can fix that.
Realized right away that you can't open the piercing cap if there's pressure in it. That's when I decided to read the ...

 Post subject: Walther CP99compact
PostPosted: Mon Dec 25, 2006 7:31 pm
I recieved my CP99compact used, I was the third owner.

First impressions: looks like a nice piece, that action was smooth and flawless, but the slide was a tiny but loose. It wiggled from side to side easily, but only two mm or so. I just figured blowback pistols were supposed to be. The 19 shot clip is pretty neat, but man you sure can blow them off quick!! On to actually shooting it.

It ...

 Post subject: Diana 24 T05
PostPosted: Mon Dec 25, 2006 9:58 am
I have both a .177 and .22 cal Diana 24. The Diana 24 in either caliber is a must have. The D24 is a very accurate smooth shooting rifle. I can sit and plink cans out to 30-40 yards all day using the iron sights. I have a scope on my .177 Diana 24 and I just love it. I haven't done anything to my .22 cal D24 other than putting an FP spring in ...
