I just picked up a Non-PAL version of this old standby. I cleaned it up, took it apart and lubed it sparingly with moly grease. For the money these are a lot of fun. I had a Slavia 618 as a kid and I couldn't resist when this one came up for sale. It's now averaging 476 FPS with exact 8.44 gr pellets and 529FPS with exact RS 7.3's. This is right on the money as far as compliance goes.. If I were to make it a PAL rated air rifle(I do have my PAL) where would I be able to purchase a suitable spring? I'd like to be in the low 600's should I decide to replace the original spring.

Wow, that 630 is tuned to ideal non-PAL specs. Anyhow, if you need more speed there are many threads on here about what springs to use. topic49253.html?hilit=slavia%20spring
Notec, TCooper, and Headdamage have recent threads on what they used. A WF600 spring seems to fit, maybe see if they can sell you just the spring.
